After practicing law for 20 years as a civil and trust and estate litigator with the law firm of Lurie, Zepeda, Schmalz, Hogan & Martin in Los Angeles, California, I opened my own civil and probate litigation practice with one objective: to continue providing high quality and aggressive legal representation to my clients based on a collaborative approach in which I work with them, and for them, to achieve the results they need.
I understand that searching for the right lawyer is a difficult process, particularly under stressful circumstances. You may have questions about whether you need to hire a lawyer, the litigation process or where you stand in an unfamiliar judicial system. You may have questions about your legal rights and obligations. You should not face uncertain circumstances without answers to these important questions and you certainly do not have to face them alone.
Whether representing the trustee of a multi-million-dollar estate or an individual in a simple business dispute, my highest priority is to understand my client’s circumstances and their objectives. I treat all of my clients with the utmost respect, and I give each one of them and their cases the attention that they deserve. With a balanced combination of creativity, thoughtfulness, tenacity and a will to win my mission is to design a strategy to achieve my client's objectives.
And while neither I nor any lawyer can guarantee or promise any particular outcome, I am motivated by one simple and universal truth:
Nobody hires a lawyer to lose.
I have tried numerous cases in the probate courts and have successfully settled countless other decedent’s estate and trust matters outside of litigation. I have also represented a wide variety of clients, ranging from individuals to publicly traded companies and multi-national companies, in an array of civil litigation matters, including claims for breach of contract, interference with contractual relations and prospective economic advantage, fraud, unfair and unlawful business practices and misappropriation of trade secrets.
"Lawrence is the first person I call upon when I'm faced with a serious legal issue, and he is generally the last person that I consult with before I make any consequential legal decision."
